Al Hubbard, Chairman

In 1977, Al Hubbard co-founded E&A Industries. Along with searching for new acquisition opportunities, Al is instrumental in the oversight of E&A’s current portfolio holdings.

In addition to his work at E&A Industries, Al has served in the White House under two different administrations. During the George H.W. Bush administration, Al was Deputy Chief of Staff to Vice President Dan Quayle and Executive Director of the President’s Council on Competitiveness. More recently for President George W. Bush, Al was Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director of the National Economic Council. Al has also served on a number of for-profit and not-for-profit boards. Currently, Al serves on the Board of Trustees for the Simon Property Group and for PIMCO's Equity Series and Equity Series VIT.

Al earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, his MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and his B.A., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.



Devin Anderson, Chief Executive Officer / President

Devin Anderson is CEO / President of E&A Industries and the President and CEO of Udi's Healthy Foods, a current portfolio company. In addition, he has day-to-day oversight of E&A's portfolio companies and leads the acquisition team.

In 1997, Devin led the acquisition and operations of Gilchrist & Soames, a purveyor of fine English toiletries in the North American independent luxury hotel market. Under his leadership, the company grew from a regional company with 10 employees and $6 million in revenue to a global platform business with 120 employees and $45 million in revenue. E&A sold Gilchrist & Soames in October 2007 to Swander Pace Capital in San Francisco.

Prior to joining E&A Industries in 1997, Devin served in a number of political and government leadership positions including Chief of Staff to Indiana Congressman David McIntosh in Washington, D.C., U.S. Senator Dan Coats, and the Republican Party.

Devin is a B.A. graduate of Franklin College. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a Trustee of Franklin College, and is active in several not-for-profit organizations.



Roger Nieman, Vice President of Human Resources

Roger Nieman is Vice President of HR for E&A and is Vice President of Udi's Healthy Foods. Roger provides overall leadership and coordination E&A's human resource functions. Along with developing and implementing corporate human resource strategies and programs, Roger directly administers the human resource functions of multiple E&A portfolio companies.

Before joining E&A in 1988, Roger held corporate roles at JCPenney and International Telephone & Telegraph and an administrative role at Butler University, all with responsibility for Human Resources.

Roger earned his B.A. in Economics from University of Missouri. Along with his work at E&A, Roger is active in the community as a leader in youth sports and professionally as an advocate for the advancement of the field of human resources, both academically and professionally.



Jason Kashman, Chief Financial Officer

Jason provides financial oversight for all of E&A's portfolio companies. In addition, Jason provides overall leadership concerning new acquisitions, capital investments, and resource allocation.

Prior to joining E&A, Jason held positions in various aspects of corporate finance. Jason’s work focused on technical financial analysis and mergers and acquisitions for both a NYSE listed firm and portfolio holdings of large private equity groups. Jason was hired at E&A as the Director of Business Development. He was charged with leading the search for acquisition candidates. His responsibilities included maintaining relationships with business intermediaries, researching industries and specific acquisition opportunities, analyzing and selecting prospective deals, and performing due-diligence investigations.

In 2009, Jason identified Udi's Healthy Foods as a potential acquisition target and led the due diligence effort. As a result, E&A Industries acquired Udi's in early 2010. After the acquisition, Jason was deployed to Denver to assist with managing the company. During his time with Udi's, Jason held two executive positions, Corporate Controller and Chief Operating Officer, as well as being involved in a number of other financial and technical aspects of the business.

Jason earned both his B.S. and MBA in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
